Creating heirloom pieces for your home and family

Tom Constance is the owner/craftsman of Humble Walk Woodcraft. His eclectic career path includes owning and managing retail bookstores, being president of a small publishing company, and spending 3 years teaching English at two universities in China.

Humble Walk Woodcraft started as a full time profession from me following my return from 3 years of teaching English in China. Woodwork has always been my passion – the chance to visualize and create ‘usable art.’ I love everything about wood. I love the smell of the raw lumber, watching the project as it takes shape, and the satisfaction of seeing the finished product being loved, admired, and used.

Each piece of wood is unique. Its grain, color, markings, feel of a finely sanded and finished wood piece and even flaws can make it an incredibly beautiful work of art.
